About the role
Play a pivotal role in transforming lives by empowering Noncustodial Parents (NCPs) to achieve stability and self-sufficiency through meaningful employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized career coaching, hands-on case management, and barrier-reduction support to participants in the TANF/Choices NCP Program.
- Design and deliver tailored Individual Employment Plans, including job readiness services like resume building and interview preparation.
- Connect clients to training and essential community resources, and coordinate supportive services such as transportation and legal referrals.
- Partner closely with the Office of the Attorney General, Texas Workforce Commission, and community organizations to help participants meet child support obligations and build sustainable careers.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree OR at least six months of experience and transferrable skills may be substituted for each 15 hours of college credit up to two years OR four years of experience working at Workforce Solutions and a recommendation from current or most recent supervisor.
- Experience: Experience with career management strategies and job search processes.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
