What you'll be doing:

• Managing a varied caseload of employment defense matters (wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, and more)
• Handling all phases of litigation pleadings, discovery, trial, and appeal when needed
• Advising clients directly and keeping them in the loop every step of the way
• Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses backed by sharp legal research
• Appearing at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Leading settlement negotiations and ADR to get clients the best possible outcomes
• Teaming up with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to keep cases moving smoothly

What you bring:

• JD from an accredited law school
• Active California State Bar membership
• 4+ years of employment defense litigation experience
• Solid grasp of CA state and federal court procedures
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Independent, detail-oriented, and a true team player

Bonus points for:

• Class action or complex litigation experience
• Trial experience
• A knack for building lasting client relationships
