Responsibilities
- Representing employers in all areas of employment law, including wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, and workers' compensation claims.
- Handling all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing and arguing motions, and participating in trial.
- Providing preventative legal advice to employers, including drafting employment policies and procedures, conducting workplace investigations, and providing training on employment law issues.
- Negotiating and drafting settlement agreements on behalf of employers.
- Staying abreast of current trends, practices, and developments in employment law.
- Collaborating with other members of the legal team to strategize and achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the state bar.
- A minimum of 2 years of civil defense experience.
- Proven experience in insurance defense and liability.
- Exceptional litigation skills, including experience in trial advocacy.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and projects, with a keen attention to detail.
Pay
Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year
