Employment Defense Attorney

About the role

We're a national employment law firm with over 28 locations across the US. Our attorneys practice before state and federal courts and administrative agencies and we are looking for an experienced L&E Litigation Associate to join our team. This position provides an opportunity to work on high-profile cases and interact with top-tier clients, offering a platform for professional growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of employment litigation, from the initial response to pleadings through to managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations.
• Draft and revise employee handbooks.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
• Admission to the Colorado Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on employment litigation.
• Experience in drafting and revising handbooks.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes in a cost-effective manner.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
• Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.

Pay

Salary: $200,000 - $230,000 per year
