About the role
Career Team is looking to hire an Employer Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business services team and ensure programmatic requirements and performance metrics are consistently met. This role supervises business services staff and coordinates job development activities with employers, ensuring alignment between job seekers and employers' hiring needs. The Employer Services Manager reports to the Deputy Director.
Responsibilities
- Perform all business service functions required to meet performance goals and assist team members with balancing workloads
- Provide training and coaching to support the execution of the marketing plan and exceed employer expectations
- Supervise the business services team to ensure the success of business services goals and Workforce system performance
- Develop and oversee worksites and placements for work experience and on-the-job training contracts
- Evaluate employer needs and devise customized plans that align qualified job seekers with business demands through training and development
- Utilize job seeker resources provided through the Workforce office and program operations to meet employer needs
- Coordinate daily activities and establish short- and long-term goals that ensure achievement of performance goals
- Ensure local operating procedures and processes are implemented to maintain a high level of customer service
- Facilitate employer access to all Workforce Development programs and supervise or perform specialized, technical, and consultative Workforce Development duties as needed
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with project team members, employers, and community partners
- Oversee preparation of marketing plan reports and monitoring documents, identify areas for improvement, and communicate findings and recommendations to management and appropriate staff
- Review and approve related policies and procedures to ensure consistent application of SOPs and attainment of goals
- Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset
- Other duties and projects as needed
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience and 2 years of business-to-business sales experience
- Knowledge of the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements
- Strong understanding of local labor market trends and industry demands
- Creative and innovative approach to developing community-focused solutions
- Computer literate with MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to gather information and provide solutions that exceed expectations
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base and be culturally sensitive
- Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them toward achieving goals
- Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written)
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, and maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Adherence to the principles of Extreme Customer Service in all interactions with internal and external customers
- A Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or MBA degree
- Knowledge of the Deep East Texas region and its employers, community organizations, and workforce partners
- Bilingual or multilingual
- Strong multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to tasks
- Experience with training and coaching in a performance-based environment
Pay
$63,000 - $68,000/yr
