Essential Functions
- Counsels and coaches employees regarding possible discrimination issues.
- Conducts and/or coordinates complaint mediation hearings, counseling, and/or negotiations.
- Prepares investigative reports and makes recommendation of a cause or no cause finding.
- Maintains confidentiality of all work activities and confidential information.
- Ensures compliance with nondiscrimination policies and advises staff on strategies to eliminate barriers.
- Communicates non-discrimination related policies and procedures to employees.
- Develops and/or updates complaint procedures, policies, and forms as needed.
- Researches information, analyzes data, and identifies trends.
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Attends workshops and maintains professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PSHRA-CP, or PSHRA-SCP).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- Three years of experience in affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, human resources, or related field.
