Essential Functions

  • Counsels and coaches employees regarding possible discrimination issues.
  • Conducts and/or coordinates complaint mediation hearings, counseling, and/or negotiations.
  • Prepares investigative reports and makes recommendation of a cause or no cause finding.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all work activities and confidential information.
  • Ensures compliance with nondiscrimination policies and advises staff on strategies to eliminate barriers.
  • Communicates non-discrimination related policies and procedures to employees.
  • Develops and/or updates complaint procedures, policies, and forms as needed.
  • Researches information, analyzes data, and identifies trends.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Attends workshops and maintains professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PSHRA-CP, or PSHRA-SCP).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
  • Three years of experience in affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, human resources, or related field.
