Job Description
Collect, record and maintain patient information including medical history, reports and examination results.
Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury.
Advise, patients, family and community members concerning treatment and prevention.
Examine patients or order, perform and/r interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnoses.
Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
Education
- Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited medical school
- Other: Successful completion of a medical residency program.
- Other: Successful completion of a medical internship program.
Experience
8 years recent relevant experience.
Certification & Licensure
- MD-Doctor of Medicine Upon Hire OR DO-Doctor of Osteopathy of California Upon Hire
- CSRC-Controlled Substance Registered Certification (DEA) Upon Hire
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Upon Hire
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire
- NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider Upon Hire
Department Required Certifications & Licensures
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support Department: Emergency Department
- PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support Department: Emergency Department
- PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support Department: Pediatrics
