Job Summary

The physician is responsible for providing various services to our patients. It is important that a friendly, caring, courteous, and professional attitude is displayed at all times as this person has front-line contact with patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the clinical, supervisory, administrative, and other duties as assigned by the company.
  • Participate in administrative and committee meetings.
  • If the physician is a "supervising physician" of a physician assistant(s), as required by Arizona law, enter into a delegation agreement with the physician assistant(s).
  • Accurately maintain, and timely prepare records, preserve all such records, and make reports that the company may require.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the applicable standards of care of the medical profession and any applicable professional associations in accordance with the principles of ethics of the American Medical Association or American Osteopathic Association, and with any federal, state, or municipal law, or any rule, regulation, policy, or requirement of any administrative agency, certification organization or accreditation organization with jurisdiction as to, or pertaining to, his or her medical practice.
  • Adhere to all written policies, rules, procedures, handbooks and standards established or adopted by AZCCC, including those pertaining to utilization review, quality assessment and continuing medical education.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited college of medicine with a valid unrestricted license to practice issued by the Arizona Medical Board.
  • Must be registered with the United States department of justice drug enforcement administration and maintain a valid unrestricted controlled substance registration certificate.
