About the role

The EMOC Coordinator staffs the 24/7/365 EMOC Command Center and is responsible for continuous monitoring of campus-wide BAS/EMS networks, of the HVAC systems, and devices. Also provides coordination and support of any campus HAVC System or infrastructure event emergency involving Facilities Management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors the operation of building MEP and Utility function through the centralized Building Automation System
  • Reviews and responds to system alerts by coordinating appropriate field support
  • Responds to any campus situation and/or emergency by contacting appropriate management team members and coordinating support and response activities
  • Receives off-hour customer calls placed to Facilities Management and responds accordingly by coordinating and dispatching FM staff
  • Performs AFDD diagnostic checks, implements BAS/EMS program edits and updates, reviews system sequences and provides efficiency improvement strategies to management
  • Creates custom BAS graphic pages and provides MEP and BAS technical support as needed to FM staff, vendors, and contractors

Requirements

  • Must be proficient at: BAS network communication configuration (including BACnet, MODBUS, LON, ARC156), interpreting and writing ATC Sequence of Operation, creating and updating equipment Graphical User Interface pages, and the use of Automated Fault Detection and Diagnostic/Monitored Based Commissioning software platforms
  • Must possess excellent verbal communication skills and a thorough knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools to effectively submit and track work orders
  • Ability to be mobile around campus and able to lift 50 pounds, crawl into confined spaces (including manholes and utility tunnels), maneuver in and around tight areas, climb ladders and work from heights

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required, with 1 year of experience. Related HVAC, BAS, and/or technical experience with three to five years of relevant experience preferred.
