About the Role

Perkins Eastman has an immediate need for an Architectural Designer in our Los Angeles office. We are seeking dedicated, passionate team members with strong individual design and problem-solving skills. This position requires supporting project team leaders and producing presentations for the Perkins Eastman team and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Project Manager and assist in all project phases, sizes, and typologies.
  • Prepare program and schematic design studies, proposals, project layouts, and develop designs in 3D using Revit or other 3D modeling software for client review and approval.
  • Assist with design development, learning the details and process of documenting design.
  • Assist with preparation of construction drawings and construction detailing for contractors.
  • Review building codes to ensure design complies with minimum legal standards.
  • Assist in the construction administration phase by reviewing shop drawings and creating a master log of project submittals.
  • Prepare finished material sample boards, physical models, and graphic presentations for client approval.
  • Assist the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.
  • Minimum 0 to 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is required.
  • Experience with Rhino and other related design software is a plus.

Pay

Competitive salary ranging from $70k to $74k.
