The Opportunity:

Perkins Eastman has an immediate need for an Architectural Designer for our Seattle office. We are seeking dedicated, passionate team members with strong individual design and problem-solving skills for immediate opportunities as a Designer. This position requires the candidates to support project team leaders and produce presentations suitable for the Perkins Eastman team and clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Project Manager responsible for the individual project, the Designer will be responsible for assisting in all project phases, project sizes and typologies.
• Prepare conceptual and schematic design studies, produce project layouts and develop designs in 3D using Revit or other 3D modeling software for client review/approval.
• Aid in design development, including the details and process of documenting design.
• Aid in preparation of construction drawings and construction detailing.
• Review zoning and building codes to ensure that design complies with jurisdictional requirements.
• Aid in the constructions administration phase by reviewing shop drawings and assisting in the preparation of supplemental documentation.
• Prepare finished material sample boards, physical models, and graphic presentations for client approval.
• Aid the design team on projects from the Pre-Schematic Phase through Construction Documents.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture
• Minimum 0 to 3 years of experience required
• Ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts to their team.
• Strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Revit is required. Rhino and other related design software is a plus.

PE has a hybrid policy that allows flexibility for our employees in managing their working days and hours to cater to their diverse needs.

Pay:

Salary Range: $62k to $71k
