About Learn Fresh Through
Learn Fresh Through leverages students' passion for sports and entertainment to inspire their STEM learning and foster essential life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and leadership. Our programs are explicitly focused on students living in low-income communities. We believe all students deserve a quality and engaging education.
Opportunity
We are seeking ambitious, enthusiastic young professionals to join our Emerging Leaders Council (ELC). The ELC aids in building awareness for Learn Fresh and its programs. Members will collaborate to host networking events (such as Happy Hours, Prospective Donor Events, etc.) and drive the development of donor events and campaigns (including end-of-year giving efforts).
Purpose of Emerging Leaders Council
The Learn Fresh Emerging Leaders Council is a group of young professionals in their 20s and 30s passionate about Learn Fresh's mission. The ELC plays a strategic role in developing awareness of Learn Fresh's programs and providing opportunities for growth through social media, events, and individual fundraising.

Qualifications
- Young professionals, ideally based in one of the regions outlined above and able to participate regularly in our programs and events in those communities
- Reliable and motivated self-starter possessing strong leadership abilities
- Excellent planning skills and follow-through
- Willingness and desire to actively promote Learn Fresh
- Willingness and desire to work collaboratively with other ELC members and Learn Fresh staff
Responsibilities
- Serve at least one 2-year term
- Attend at least 70% of ELC meetings (monthly conference calls from September to June)
- Commit to a minimum of 20-30 hours of service over the course of the year (time dedicated to meetings, volunteering at/hosting events)
- Host or help support two networking events each year to help introduce and cultivate new relationships for Learn Fresh (individuals, partners, and corporations)
- Help identify at least five new donors to the organization (at any level)
- Make a financial contribution at a level that is personally meaningful; for most ELC members, this typically looks like a give/get commitment in the range of $500 to $2,500
