The Ethos ER Immerse Training Program
The ER Immerse Program will prepare veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. It is built from the ground up to be different than traditional rotating internship programs, focusing on a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian. The program includes training around clinical knowledge and skills, as well as a focus on client and team member communication, professional skills, and life/work integration. Utilizing a hybrid training approach, the program incorporates simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients. The curriculum is designed using an evidence-based strategy, identifying competencies and skills deemed essential for a successful career as an emergency clinician.
Program Duration/Commitment
Individualized timeline: 3- to 6-month training program with a June/July 2026 start. 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at VESH - West Springfield following training.

Work Authorization
Work authorization in the United States is a requirement for the position. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the company, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered.
About the Hospital
We are a tight-knit, collegial group of medical professionals who work collaboratively to provide the highest level of both patient and client care possible. Nestled in the beautiful Pioneer Valley and Five Colleges area of Western Massachusetts, VESH is a VECCS Level II specialty and 24-hour emergency hospital that serves Western MA, Northern CT, and Southern VT and NH. We have recently expanded and updated our 10,300 square foot facility in South Deerfield, MA, and we just opened a second location in West Springfield in October 2023. We have specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Surgery, and Avian/Exotics, and we can support canine/feline only for your ER caseload.
