Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Emergency Vehicles primarily, Pierce Fire Apparatus and Road Rescue Ambulances.
- Accomplish repairs and perform services outlined in established technical manuals.
- Perform inspection and repair on apparatus components.
- Understand and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring and hydraulic schematics utilized during scheduled service intervals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment.
- Utilizes diagnostic tools (both manual and electronic) to assess and evaluate required service/ repairs.
- Continued training and certification.
Required Skills
- Certification as an Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) preferred.
- Current Heavy Truck ASE certifications preferred.
- Must be able to read, understand and follow technical manuals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications.
- CDL preferred.
