Essential Duties
- Buils knowledge of dealer supported product lines, service standards, and procedures and keeps abreast of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by the distributor.
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Service shop and Factory standards.
- Vehicle inspection including factory warranty repairs, computer diagnostics and programming.
- Attends local, regional, and national service schools and training sessions as requested.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and professional work environment not only in shop but also at customer sites.
- Utilizes various equipment and tools to include, but not limited to hand tools, power tools, testing/diagnostic equipment, cranes and hoists.
- Foster close, positive working relationships with all service, parts and administrative personnel.
Essential Qualifications
- 2-year Diesel Technician/Mechanic degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years working in a full-time technician/mechanic role on heavy duty chassis.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience.
- Welding/cutting torch experience.
- Excellent skills in communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention to detail.
- Working usage of MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Desirable Qualifications
- Direct industry experience.
- Class B CDL.
- ADA Requirements.
Compensation
This role offers a salary range of $27.00 - $47.00 per hour, with final compensation determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
