About the role
Course: SLA207H1S - Intermediate Polish II. Students with prior Polish language experience (completion of SLA206H1F or equivalent) will further develop speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills, focusing on advanced everyday communication and Polish grammar.
Estimated course enrolment: 25. No TA support provided.
Class schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Delivery method is currently in-person, but may shift to remote/online or hybrid based on faculty determination.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures for SLA207H1S, Intermediate Polish II.
- Design, administer, and grade assignments.
- Provide students with constructive feedback.
- Support the graduate component of the class.
Requirements
- M.A. degree in Slavic Languages and Cultures (Ph.D. preferred).
- Native or near-native fluency in spoken and written Polish.
- Near-native fluency in English.
Qualifications
Preferred: Prior experience teaching Polish language courses, particularly at the University of Toronto.

- Sessional Lecturer I: $9,997.48
- Sessional Lecturer I Long Term: $10,699.22
- Sessional Lecturer II: $10,699.22
- Sessional Lecturer II Long Term: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III: $10,953.96
- Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $11,228.90
Note: If collective agreement rates differ from posted rates, the collective agreement rates prevail.
