About the role
Locum Emergency Physician providing urgent care coverage with ongoing assignments at various FSEDs near Gainesville, FL.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care for a range of patients, including Level 4/5 cases and vertical patients.
- Perform all emergency procedures such as Central Access, Arterial Line placement, Lumbar Puncture, Intubation, Pacing, and Orthopedic Stabilization.
- Cover shifts, primarily 12-hour AM and PM, with some 8-hour shifts, working at multiple facilities.
- Collaborate with APP support based on location and shift.
- Maintain emergency privileges, ensuring a clean file (approximately 45 days) and standard privileges (around 90 days).
Qualifications & Skills
- Current Florida medical license and DEA registration.
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with at least 3 years of experience.
- Ability to work a minimum of 8 shifts per month.
- Proficiency in all emergency procedures listed above.
