Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

About the role

Join our close-knit team of nine EM board-certified physicians and three Advanced Practice providers at Samaritan Healthcare. We are a level III trauma center with an annual ED volume of 25,000. We have a great relationship with the hospitalist service and support from general surgery, OB/GYN, radiology, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, GI, and tele neurology.

Responsibilities

• See patients independently and have good support from physicians (a physician will always be on staff during your shift).
• Collaborate with physicians to run the department while managing the sickest patients.
• Work closely with physicians and physicians are very supportive of APPs.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/Board-eligible Physician Assistant with recent acute care experience.
• Due to the high acuity of patients and autonomy of the role, ED experience is required.

Scheduling

• Flexible scheduling allowing for work-life balance.
• Shifts are 2p-2a with three physicians on their shifts of 7a-7p, 10a-10p, and 7p-7a.
