Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner
About the role
Join our close-knit team of 24 physicians and 18 APPs at Frederick Health Hospital. We prioritize the longevity of our clinicians and provide comprehensive ancillary services in the ED, including peer recovery, ED pharmacists, crisis intervention, social work, Goals of Care Hospice, and case management. For those who like to teach, we work with PA students from Shenandoah, Frostburg, and other local programs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fellow APPs and physicians in managing a thriving and very busy ED.
- We welcome the challenge of complex high-acuity cases. Our physician assistants practice at the top of their licenses with the support and collaboration of ED supervising physicians.
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner board certification required.
- Current, unrestricted MD license with at least 2 years of emergency medicine experience preferred.
- ACLS/BLS/PALS required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Flexibility
Most of us like to spend time with our families or outdoors, so a flexible schedule is available, and we cover for each other when we’re out.
