About the Role
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing emergency department at DeTar Hospital North in Victoria, Texas. This opportunity offers a manageable patient volume, a broad age mix, and the support of an established care environment.
Qualifications
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine, or Board-Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with ED experience
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- ATLS required unless Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine

- Annual ED volume: 16,000 visits, averaging 43 visits per day
- Pediatric visits: 56%
- Physician shifts: 8a–8p and 8p–8a
- APP coverage variable during high-volume season

- Average physician productivity: 1.8 patients per hour
- Transfer rate: 2%
- EMR: MedHost
