About the Role
VEA Health is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing emergency department at Heart of Texas Healthcare System in Brady, Texas. This opportunity is ideal for physicians who value work-life balance, rural medicine, and a team-oriented care environment.
- 25-bed critical access hospital
- 4 beds dedicated to the Emergency Department
- Emergency Department sees approximately 16 patients per day
- Full-time position at 120 hours per month
- Flexible scheduling with minimum 24-hour or 48-hour shifts
- Shift options include 1 p.m.–1 a.m. and 1 a.m.–1 p.m.
- Strong advanced practice provider (APP) support
- Physician-owned and led organization with a 90% retention rate
Qualifications
- Open to Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine physicians
- Commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care
- Interest in rural and community-based medicine
