Emergency Medicine Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor

About the role

The Department of Emergency Medicine at The Larner College of Medicine (LCOM) at The University of Vermont (UVM) is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician desiring a career in academic emergency medicine. Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway will be commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical coverage for the University of Vermont Health across hospital sites in Vermont and northern New York, serving a catchment of 40,000 square miles and 1.4M people.
• Teach and supervise LCOM medical students, emergency medicine residents, and other learners throughout a variety of disciplines and healthcare professions.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities within the department and university.
• Participate in the academic, educational, and scholarly missions of LCOM and University of Vermont Health.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
• Eligible for licensure in the states of New York and Vermont.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, research, and clinical activities of academic emergency medicine.
• Experience in rural care delivery and/or critical access hospital emergency departments.

Assistant Professor: $310,000 – $407,750
Associate Professor: $340,000 – $412,250
Professor: $365,000 – $416,000
