Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Full-Time Nights

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing healthcare to inmates.
• Assist in performing intake physical examinations for newly incarcerated inmates.
• Assist in the administration of medications to inmates.
• Assist in responding to medical emergencies.
• Advise appropriate personnel on inmates classified as a medical risk.
• Comply with Medical Department directives on bloodborne and airborne pathogens and disposal of contaminated materials.
• Practice proper medical record keeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Current EMT certification to practice in the state of employment.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Knowledge and ability to perform emergency care within scope of practice.
