Emergency Dispatcher - 2nd Shift
About the role
You will handle inbound calls from push-button emergency phones located in elevators, pool areas, and other critical locations. No prior dispatcher experience is required; we provide extensive on-the-job training. Our Emergency Dispatch Center (EDC) operates 24/7/365 to dispatch local emergency services, helping save lives every day.
Responsibilities
- Respond to testing and emergency calls
- Answer a high volume of inbound calls from customers and vendors
- Address inquiries, provide accurate customer details, and document updates on emergency situations
- Notify the customer call list of emergent and non-emergent situations
- Dispatch the Elevator Company or appropriate authorities when necessary
- Manage multiple software programs for call handling and team communication
- Communicate updates clearly and concisely
- Provide world-class customer service

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-year customer service, call center, or dispatcher experience
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and 2nd shift (3:45pm - 12:15am)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Extraordinary customer service skills that meet quality standards
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional active listening skills, giving full attention to others and asking questions as appropriate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Accurately type at least 35 wpm with an accuracy rate of 95% or better
- High rate of accuracy and attention to detail
- Dependable and organized
- Positive, competitive, and determined attitude
- A sense of humor is a plus

Pay
$20.00 - $20.50 per hour
Schedule
2nd shift (3:45pm - 12:15am), including weekends and holidays
