Emergency Department Technician

About the role

Support position to provide patient care under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse in the Emergency Services setting. Responsible for implementing components of patient care through initiation and completion of procedures. Provides assistance to the physicians, nurses, staff, visitors and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and complete patient care procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist physicians, nurses, staff, visitors and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Department approved de-escalation training must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
• Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic license required.

Qualifications

• Communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Basic computer skills and customer service skills required.

Skills

• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks independently.
• Knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols.

Pay

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $21.01 - $24.69 / hour

Schedule

Shift: Shift 2/9:00:00AM to 9:30:00PM
