Emergency Department Tech - Night Shift

The ED Tech Level I is a multi-skilled caregiver working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, age-appropriate patient care. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, performing 12-lead EKGs, bedside blood sugar testing, superficial wound care, oral suctioning, splint application, and instructing safe ambulation with crutches. They perform procedures using aseptic techniques such as sterile tray preparation, dressing applications, and phlebotomy. Additional duties involve transporting patients, supplies, and medications, monitoring patients in restraint or seclusion, and operating cardiac and pulse oximetry monitors. The role includes managing telesitter carts, troubleshooting connectivity issues, performing environmental safety checks, and responding to escalations. Monitoring cardiac rhythms and maintaining equipment are also key tasks. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED, BLS certification (or equivalent), and proficiency in vital signs and computer skills.
