Emergency Department (ED) Tech - Night Shift

About the role

A multi-skilled caregiver who supports nurses under supervision in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care including vital signs, 12-lead EKG, blood sugar testing, wound care, oral suctioning, splint application, and assisting with ambulation.
• Perform procedures using aseptic techniques such as sterile tray preparation, dressing changes, and phlebotomy.
• Operate cardiac and pulse oximetry monitors, transport patients, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Monitor and document patients in restraint/seclusion, recognize arrhythmias, and maintain monitors.
• Manage telesitter carts, troubleshoot connectivity, and respond to escalation needs.
• Ensure patient care areas are stocked and safe.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Experience in measuring vital signs.

Qualifications

Prior patient care experience preferred.
