About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on diagnosing and treating responses to health problems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
- Develop individualized care and discharge plans.
- Execute protocols and procedures.
- Accurately document care.
- Administer medications.
- Respond effectively in emergencies.
- Ensure quality care through ongoing evaluation and participation in unit quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of nine months RN experience.
- At least one year of experience in an Emergency Department or successful completion of a related internship program.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licenses and certifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent, NIH Stroke Scale, and relevant pediatric courses.
- Strong computer skills.
- Preferred: additional healthcare experience, bachelor’s degree in nursing, certifications like CEN or TNCC, and proficiency in recognizing cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within professional standards.
