Emergency Department RN (Part-Time, Night Shift)

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on diagnosing and treating responses to health problems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develop individualized care and discharge plans.
• Execute protocols and procedures.
• Accurately document care.
• Administer medications.
• Respond effectively in emergencies.
• Ensure quality care through ongoing evaluation and participation in unit quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of nine months RN experience.
• At least one year of experience in an Emergency Department or successful completion of a related internship program.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licenses and certifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS or equivalent, NIH Stroke Scale, and relevant pediatric courses.
• Strong computer skills.
• Preferred: additional healthcare experience, bachelor’s degree in nursing, certifications like CEN or TNCC, and proficiency in recognizing cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within professional standards.
