About the Role

The registered nurse (RN) collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on diagnosing and treating human responses to health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Develop personalized care and discharge plans.
  • Execute medical protocols and accurately document care.
  • Evaluate patient responses to treatment.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure quality care.
  • Utilize multidisciplinary approaches in patient care.

Requirements

  • Minimum nine months of RN experience, with at least one year in an emergency department (ED) or completion of a specialized internship.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid RN license (Oregon preferred).
  • Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (within 6 months), NIH Stroke Scale, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Skills

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency.

Additional Preferences

  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Certifications such as CEN and TNCC.
  • Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
