Barnes Jewish West County Hospital is a new state-of-the-art facility that opened for patient care in November 2019. We are looking for Registered Nurses to become part of a learning and growing team.

We seek a dedicated ER Nurse to join our team and make a difference in critical moments. Our ER team is built on collaboration, clear communication, and a commitment to providing the highest level of care quickly and effectively. The ER Nurse will work closely with physicians, fellow nurses, and medical staff to ensure seamless patient treatment, prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-moving environment, and support and comfort patients and their families during urgent medical situations.

About the Facility

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms, and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting, innovative, and efficient environment centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park.

The Emergency Department at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is a full-service, 8-bed unit staffed by Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, and Washington University Emergency Medicine Physicians. We meet the needs of our community by serving both pediatric and adult populations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care.
