  • Full-time Emergency Department APP opportunity
  • Practice in a high-volume Emergency Department seeing approximately 75,000 patient visits annually
  • Collaborative, physician-led emergency medicine team
  • Double physician coverage throughout the day
  • Work alongside experienced emergency physicians and Advanced Practice Providers
  • State-of-the-art Emergency Department utilizing Epic electronic medical record with Dragon voice recognition and DAX AI documentation support

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad range of emergent and urgent medical conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Perform procedures within scope of practice and credentialing.
  • Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide efficient, high-quality patient care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately within Epic.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education as appropriate.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

  • Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Board certification as an Acute Care or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (or certification appropriate for Emergency Medicine practice)
  • Current Maryland licensure or eligibility

Physician Assistant

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Current Maryland licensure or eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Emergency Department or Urgent Care experience preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • ATLS and PALS are desirable
