Emergency and Trauma Imaging Fellowship 2027-2028
About the role
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine offers a one-year fellowship in Emergency and Trauma Imaging. There are four fellows per year, with current openings for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years.
Responsibilities
- Gain emergent interpretive experience in CT, MR, Ultrasound, and radiography within a high volume 24-7-365 environment.
- Receive comprehensive clinical experience in imaging arising from the emergency departments of seven teaching hospitals.
- Customize training experience to accommodate post-fellowship plans with a clinical or academic focus.
- Participate in educational case conferences, M&M conferences, and a lecture series designed to enhance fellow education.
- Afford teaching opportunities to medical and allied health students and residents.
- Have a professional development fund of $2500 to spend on educational materials or conference attendance.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed or be scheduled to complete an ACGME (American) or RCPSC (Canadian) accredited diagnostic radiology residency prior to July 1 of the fellowship year. Qualified applicants must hold an MD degree or equivalent and meet requirements for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Completed or scheduled to complete an ACGME (American) or RCPSC (Canadian) accredited diagnostic radiology residency prior to July 1 of the fellowship year.
- Hold an MD degree or equivalent.
- Meet requirements for medical licensure in the state of Georgia.
