About the role

The Embryology Lab Manager/Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of a fertility laboratory, blending hands-on clinical embryology with staff management and regulatory compliance. This role is based in Orlando, Florida and offers a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all technical areas of the laboratory services and procedures, including but not limited to: Identification, assessment and culture of oocytes, Sperm preparation and insemination of oocytes, Embryo culture, Assessment and selection of embryos for transfer, Embryo Vitrification, storage and warming, Media preparation.
  • Recording and reporting laboratory results in Artworks, TBSA, PESA, TESA, TESE collection, Oocyte denuding & ICSI insemination, PGT biopsy.
  • Achieve level of proficiency in all areas of the lab that allow for multitasking, training of junior staffers, and high productivity.
  • Implementation and Monitoring of Operating Budget, Ensures Safe and Adequate Staffing, Responsible for Employee Development, Oversees Departmental or Office Operations, Responsible for Quality Assessment and Improvement, Maintains a Customer Service Oriented environment, Provides a Safe Environment for Staff and Patients, Assures Compliance with Applicable Regulations, Policies and Standards, Demonstrates a Commitment to Teamwork, Assumes responsibility for Self-Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or Medical Laboratory Science.
  • 5 years of hands-on embryology experience and 2+ years in leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Meet the CLIA requirements of education and experience for General Supervisor or Technical Supervisor.
  • AABB/AAB certification/FL license preferred.
  • Thoroughly familiar with Laboratory Operations Manual.
  • Demonstrate skills and aptitude appropriate to the position.
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic and commitment to participate in appropriate programs of continuing education and professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge in the laboratory specialty.
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
  • Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.).
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, weekends and holiday rotations as needed.
