We must ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like "Apply", "Privacy Policy", "EEO". We removed.
We must not repeat job title. We didn't.
We must not include Job ID/requisition numbers. We didn't.
We must preserve all substantive information. Did we miss anything? Let's review original text for any other details:
- "West Star is the fastest growing maintenance repair organization in the industry, and we recognize this is the result of our talented team of trusted employees working together to deliver customer service excellence." We captured that in About the role.
- "We are committed to providing our employees with personal and professional growth opportunities while fostering a culture of respect and well-being with a small company feel." Included.
- "When you join our team, we don’t think you should have to wait for your benefits to kick in. That’s why when you start, they start with you! This includes medical, dental, 401K match, time off accruals, weekly pay days and much more." Included in About the role and Benefits.
- "We don’t want you to live to work, we want you to work and live." Not essential; could be omitted as it's fluff but still substantive? It's a tagline; but we can omit as not critical. The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; but tagline may be considered fluff. Might be okay to omit.
- "What you can expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star: Whether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems or performing inspections on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world, no day is the same. What is the same, is that each day will bring new experiences and opportunities for growth." We captured responsibilities but not the "no day is the same" line. Could add a sentence in Responsibilities intro. But we have list; we could add a before list: "No two days are the same; each day brings new experiences and opportunities for growth while performing a variety of tasks on sophisticated civilian aircraft." That's substantive.
- "You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.Removal and installation of panels and components,Troubleshooting and problem-solving aircraft system/component issuesDe-fueling aircraftEngine removal/installations,Operating ground support equipment,Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and componentsAircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiingMaintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and toolingBasic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data basesEffectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in EnglishAny other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management."
