Internship Term: Winter - Spring 2026 (January - June) Commitment: Full Time, 8 AM to 5 PM Location: On site in Woburn, MA At SmartFlower Solar we turn clean energy into a competitive edge. We are looking for someone pursuing an electrical, software or related engineering field who wants to work at the intersection of electro-mechanical and IoT connected systems. What you will do: Assist with engineering and service of Smartflower Solar systemsDevelop, test and deploy new firmware solutions to boost ease of use, product reliability, serviceability or performance. Partner with SmartFlower technical team members and external engineering contractors to develop, validate and release software or firmware solutionsValidate new features prior to release. Monitor fleet performance to identify field issues early and own their containment and resolutionSupport continuous improvement efforts around the firmware release process including enhanced documentation, version control, release package build and OTA update management Requirements You... Are working towards a computer, electrical, robotics or equivalent engineering degree Are proficient programming in modern languages such as C / C++ and PythonCan share a portfolio of previous work demonstrating experience with embedded systemsOperate with a hands-on approach, are self-motivated, and love to work on hardware productsAre able to work independently, manage time and prioritize your workDemonstrate independence, a self-starter attitude with strong communication skills
