Responsibilities
- Develop and customize firmware for reference designs and Infineon USB-PD controller solutions.
- Validate firmware and hardware against customer requirements and functional specifications.
- Perform interoperability and compliance tests on reference and customer designs for USB-C and USB-PD ecosystems.
- Write clear application notes and example usage guides for Type-C and USB-PD applications.
- Use oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, and other lab equipment to debug interfaces and power circuits during bring-up.
- Record test results, log issues, and communicate findings to engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Practical experience in embedded system design, microcontroller programming, and board bring-up is preferred.
- Experience with oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers, power supplies, and common bench instruments.
- Familiarity with USB, USB-PD, Type-C, I2C, SPI, UART, and related protocol troubleshooting.
- Understanding of analog circuits, switching regulators, LDOs, DC-DC converters, and power distribution debugging is a bonus.
Pay
Wage range for a qualified candidate in San Jose, CA: US$ 27.00 – US$ 36.50 per hour. Rate depends on the highest level of education completed.
