EMB QC/Trimmer 2nd Shift

About the role

BSN Sports is looking to hire a Production Associate. As an Embroidery Specialist, this role is responsible for assisting with the production of screen-printed material. Roles include the production, coating, and cleaning of screens used in the screen-printing process, quality check finished product based on customer specifications, assisting on press loading material and by applying ink to screens, and the movement of material throughout the facility, and the use of an RF scanner.

Responsibilities

• Reviews work order, observes specifications and any special notes, and prepares work area to start to print multi-color work.
• Direct physical activity is required to maintain their productivity while meeting the highest quality specifications.
• Quality check decorated garments based on customer specifications.
• Monitor the stitching process to ensure high-quality output, checking for errors or defects.
• Perform basic routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure they operate smoothly.
• Keep track of production schedules and inventory levels of materials.
• Work with designers and production teams to meet customer specifications and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in spoken English, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Great attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a structured and process-oriented environment.

• Ensures that their area and equipment is kept clean, wiped down with press wash at least once per week.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED (required).
• Familiarity with embroidery machines and software.
• Ability to spot errors and ensure precise stitching.
• Capable of troubleshooting machine issues and making necessary adjustments.
• Understanding of design principles to assist in the creation of appealing patterns.
• An eye for accuracy to catch irregularities ensuring that we only send out the best product.
• A reliable team member that employees can count on every day to be punctual.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with repetitive body movements and lifting of no less than 15 lbs.
• Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Learn tasks quickly, be detailed, accuracy-driven, personable, team-oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
• Candidates are required to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the product during and after being processed.
• Previous warehouse experience is a bonus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus.

Physical requirements

• Regularly required to stand for long periods of time.
• Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis.
• Lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Work hours & pay

Monday – Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm. Full time team members work 8-hour shifts for 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and extra hours may be added to your schedule. Peak Season (July-December) requires mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays. Base pay: $18.80.
