Email & SMS Marketing Manager - Nationwide Ecommerce

Role Overview

This role owns and scales the email and SMS lifecycle for our direct-to-consumer ecommerce business, with a strong focus on revenue growth, retention, and customer engagement. You will lead both the strategy and hands-on execution of our email and SMS channels, building campaigns, optimizing lifecycle flows, and leveraging data to continuously improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize the full email and SMS lifecycle to drive revenue, customer engagement, and retention
• Manage and maintain customer data within Klaviyo, ensuring accurate audience segmentation, list hygiene, and CRM best practices to enhance targeting and personalization
• Implement strategies to grow email and SMS subscriber lists while maintaining quality and compliance
• Analyze email and SMS campaign performance, including open rates, CTRs, conversion rates, and revenue impact, while providing regular reporting with insights and recommendations
• Optimize email/SMS templates for deliverability, engagement, and conversion using A/B testing and personalization strategies
• Create automated workflows, behavior-based messaging sequences, and winback campaigns to enhance customer retention
• Work closely with content, design, and product teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand voice
• Create, document, and implement best practices for email and SMS marketing to ensure consistent execution across the team

Skill Set

• 4+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing, with a strong focus on strategy, automation, and analytics
• Expert-level proficiency in Klaviyo or similar email service provider platform, including flows, segmentation, reporting, and integrations
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and optimize campaigns for performance
• Experience with A/B testing, deliverability best practices, and email/SMS compliance regulations for email and SMS
• Strong project management skills utilizing work management software (such as Asana)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
• Basic HTML and CSS knowledge for email formatting (plus)
