Elevator Operator - Seasonal

About the role

This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
• Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning.
• Aids in basic maintenance.
• Compliance with all the Company’s safety programs and Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• One (1) year of grain industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a highly controlled quality environment.

Skills

• Physical demands include: Regularly walk, bend, regularly climb stairs, regularly lift up to 75 lbs, and enter and work in confined spaces.

Pay

USD $15.00/Hr.

Schedule

Starting pay up to $15/hr. (dependent on experience)
