Elevator Operator - Seasonal

About the role

This is an entry-level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator, including loading, unloading, and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe, and sanitary manner. The role also involves assisting or leading in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities and equipment, and elevator operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of loading, unloading, and transferring grain and grain products for truck and barge.
• Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Assist in basic maintenance activities.
• Comply with all the Company’s safety programs and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regularly walk, bend, and stoop.
• Walk on catwalks at a variety of heights (up to 200 feet) with appropriate safety equipment.
• Climb stairs and ladders regularly.
• Lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Enter and work in confined spaces.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired.
• 0-1 year of experience.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
• Ability to work in a highly quality-controlled environment.

Pay

USD $16.00 – $18.00 per hour.
