Elevator Operator - Seasonal

About the role

This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist or lead in the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
• Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning.
• Aid in basic maintenance.
• Comply with all the Company’s safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• One (1) year of grain industry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
• Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment.

Skills

• Regularly walk, bend and stoop.
• Regularly climb stairs and ladders.
• Regularly lift up to 75 pounds.
• Regularly enter and work in confined spaces.

Pay

USD $16.00/Hr. USD $18.00/Hr.

Schedule

This role is currently being offered as a seasonal position through the end of harvest, with strong potential to convert to a full-time, year-round role based on performance and business needs.
