Elevator Mechanic, Modernization
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic or Technician to join our team in the St. Petersburg/Tampa, FL metro area. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic, ability to read blueprints and technical manuals, and experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
Responsibilities
- Provide repair services on rack and pinion and some hydraulic elevators
- Ensure elevators are in proper working order
- Follow established safety, maintenance, and testing procedures
- Previous experience with rack & pinion and/or crane repair is helpful
Requirements
- CET is strongly preferred
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals and/or related technical documents
- Experience as a route mechanic
- Ability to follow established safety, maintenance and/or testing procedures
- Previous experience with rack & pinion and/or crane repair experience is helpful
Skills
- Strong mechanical skills
- Good troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of elevator systems
