Elevator Mechanic

About the role

TK Elevator is seeking Elevator Mechanics for the Albuquerque, NM area. You will be responsible for the successful completion of work aligned with Service, Repair, New Installation and/or Modernization while meeting both customer expectations and profitability measures.

• Monitor and analyze the function of mechanical and electrical components to troubleshoot, adjust, or repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including visually inspecting, manually cleaning, and lubricating elevator systems and components in controlled or non-controlled climate field settings.
• Establish and strengthen business relationships with owners, property managers, building engineers, and union business agents.

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of related work experience as a mechanic or technician in a commercial setting.
• Demonstrated strong mechanical reasoning and comprehension skills plus hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
