About the Role

This position serves at an Elevate campus and plays a critical role in supporting teachers, enhancing instructional practices, and promoting student success. Implements new exciting opportunities to collaborate with educators, provides instructional guidance to students, facilitates the Mastery Lab, and contributes to the implementation of innovative teaching strategies within the Elevate instructional model.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with teachers to enhance instructional strategies, differentiation, and assessment practices.
  • Collaborates with teachers to analyze student data and identify areas for instructional improvement.
  • Supports teachers with timely instructional transitions.
  • Supports teachers with grading, organizing, and making copies to prepare for instruction.
  • Supports teachers in utilizing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Facilitates the Mastery Lab for students who have mastered objectives and are ready to engage in enrichment activities.
  • Monitors students during differentiated, self-paced work.
  • Stays informed about current educational trends, instructional strategies, and best practices.
  • Fosters positive and inclusive relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Supports student behavior management and reinforces classroom expectations.
  • Supports the implementation of curriculum plans aligned with state standards and district initiatives.
  • Participates in school-wide initiatives, committees, and professional learning communities.
  • Supports classroom management as needed.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
  • Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
  • Performs all job-related duties as assigned and in accordance with Board rules, policies, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 60 hours of transcript college credit from an accredited college or university required; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Two years experience working with children required; teaching experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Travel Requirements

Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Physical & Mental Demands

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment such as interactive teaching screens.
  • Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
  • Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; frequent walking.
  • Lifting: Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); occasionally up to 35 pounds; may lift and move textbooks, classroom tools, and lab equipment; additional requirements may apply in certain classroom/lab settings.
  • Vision: Performs tasks requiring close vision.
  • Environment: Works inside and occasionally outside; standard classroom/lab school building environment; frequent exposure to noise; frequent talking and listening; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours.
  • Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
  • Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions.
