About the role

The Hyde Park Central School District seeks an experienced and dynamic Elementary School Principal to lead Ralph R Smith Elementary School. This full-time administrative role involves providing leadership, supervision, and administration of a comprehensive, equitable elementary program that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students.

Responsibilities

Provide visionary leadership aligned with the District’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive school climate for students, staff, and families. Oversee curriculum, instruction, and assessment to promote academic excellence. Engage families and community partners to strengthen school–community connections. Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies and regulations. Manage resources, operations, and facilities effectively.

Qualifications

Experience working with diverse student populations. Elementary school experience. Experience engaging and supporting English Language Learner (ELL) families. Valid New York State administrative certification.
