About the District

The Elk Grove Unified School District (EGUSD) is the fourth-largest school district in California located in southern Sacramento County. EGUSD covers 320 square miles and includes 62 traditional public schools, five alternative education schools, an adult school, one charter school and a virtual academy. • Valid California PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) School Counselor Credential

Required Documents

• Credential Copy: Copy of all current valid credentials from CTC website (print information from each individual credential screen then scan and upload - do not use the email documents option as it does not contain all the needed information). For your Credential Copy attachment, please be sure to attach the copy of the CTC page which states your credential expiration date as well as the specific subject matter for the credential (NOT the Certificate of Clearance).
• Letter of Introduction (Must be signed.)
• Letter(s) of Recommendation: Two (2) Letters of Recommendation. Letters must be signed.

Additional Information for Credential Applicants

• Intern Eligible Students: If you are part of a program that offers intern credentials and your institution has an intern agreement with EGUSD, please attach an Intern Eligibility Letter from your university demonstrating your intern eligible status by 8/1/26.
• Students Completing Full Credential: If you expect to complete and be recommended for your credential by 8/1/26, please attach an official program status letter from your university showing expected completion date.
• Out of State Credentialed Applicants: Please attach appropriate out of state credential.
