Elementary School Counselor

About the role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, administrators, and community agencies to promote a positive and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling services.
• Support students' social-emotional learning and well-being.
• Aid in crisis intervention and student support planning.
• Collaborate with staff and families to address student needs.
• Coordinate and deliver classroom guidance lessons.
• Participate in school-based teams and student support meetings.

Qualifications

• Maine Department of Education Certification (075 School Counselor) required.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
