Position Goal
To provide a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate school counseling program to support the academic, life skills and wellness, and college/career needs of all students.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students.
- Develop and implement counseling programs addressing academic, social, emotional, and career development needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote student success.
- Assess student needs and progress through various assessment tools.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance counseling skills.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- An earned master's degree from an accredited institution in School Counseling, Counselor Education, or a related field.
- Valid Florida Department of Education Certification in School Counseling.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
