About The Role
This position is part of our Two-Way Immersion Program and involves instruction in both English and Spanish following the 90/10 model—where students begin with 90% instruction in Spanish and gradually move toward equal language use by upper grades. The teacher will deliver a rigorous standards-based curriculum while promoting biliteracy, biculturalism, and high academic achievement. Grade level for this role will be determined based on district needs and candidate experience.
Requirements
- An Oregon Teaching License with an Elementary endorsement is required.
- Candidates with an ESOL endorsement are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency and biliteracy are required.
- Applicants must be designated as Highly Qualified by TSPC (where applicable).
- Hold a valid Oregon Driver's License with reliable transportation.
- Successfully pass a criminal background check.

- Plan and deliver instruction aligned with the 90/10 Two-Way Immersion model.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom that honors cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and specialists to promote student success.
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and support student academic growth.
- Participate in school-wide professional learning, committees, and community engagement.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated dual language educator who values equity, bilingualism, and whole-child development. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about dual language education and possess strong teaching skills in both English and Spanish, along with a willingness to grow professionally within a collaborative team environment. Strong instructional abilities, cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to align instruction with district goals and state standards are essential. Proficiency in using instructional technology and a commitment to ongoing professional development are also highly valued.

Pay
Salary Range: $46,548 - $90,846 per year plus a Master's Stipend of $2,327. Salary placement will depend on verified full-time experience and Master's-level credits. Salary listed indicates current 2023-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement and is subject to change.
