Electrophysiology Technician

About the Role

The Lead Electrophysiology Technologist (EPT) is a skilled cardiovascular or radiologic technologist, RCES Certified, responsible for performing specialized procedures such as fluoroscopy and digital image capture under physician supervision. This role combines technical expertise with leadership duties within the cardiovascular laboratory, focusing on diagnosing and treating heart arrhythmias while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized electrophysiology procedures, including fluoroscopy and digital image capture.
• Operate advanced equipment to diagnose and treat heart arrhythmias under physician supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Provide leadership within the cardiovascular laboratory.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular or radiographic technology.
• National certification in electrophysiology (RCES or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a cardiovascular lab.
• At least 3 years of experience specifically in electrophysiology technology.

Pay

$45.41 to $71.69 per hour, with opportunities for additional compensation.
